Sustainability to us means the ability to exist and develop without exhausting natural resources and compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.
The United Nations defined sustainable development in the Brundtland Report. The report state sustainability as development that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. It assumes that resources are finite, and so should be used conservatively and carefully. This is to ensure that there is enough for future generations, without decreasing present quality of life.

Contribution towards the 17 SDGs
In January 2016, the United Nation (UN) set the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), each with a number of concrete targets and indicators, that the UN member states will be expected to use to frame their agendas and company policies over the next 15 years.
Mondofin contribute to 13 out of the 17 goals and they form the basis for defining our future strategic direction. As a business, we are continuously defining how our market areas can contribute to achieving the global ambitions for each of these SDGs in practice. Especially in the emerging markets.
